Service Description

This is an abstract pouring workshop that will introduce students to experimenting with acrylic paint and pouring medium. This is a fun workshop! You do not have to be Picasso in order to participate. Students will – learn how to make an inexpensive pouring medium - Basic colour theory, density of paints and how it effects pours - Importance of correct measuring and mixing formula - how and when to use a torch, safety around use of torches and heat guns - students will learn 3 different pouring techniques, puddle pour, flip and drag, swipe - top 10 tips to a successful pour Students will supply their own 3 canvases 9 x 12, 10 x 10, a 1 inch flat brush, roll of paper towels, Deco Art or Liquitex Basic Paint 16 oz white paint, black paint, plus 4 -5 colours of their choice. All of these materials can be found at the dollar store THE DOLLAR STORE! All other materials will be supplied by the instructor. Cost per student $65 minimum of 6 students.
